In mid August 2008 Team One installed a new SV8100 for Women’s Medical Association. We replaced their older NEC system that had reached discontinued status and included an old OS/2 based voice mail system. The installation was completed in one evening so employees and customers would not notice any interruption,
Among the many benefits of the new system came a cleaner, greener and more organized phone and data closet. The old system was comprised of three separate components one attached to a wall, one on the floor and one on an equipment rack. The new SV8100 installed cleanly into a new 19″ rack clearing wall and floor space in the room.

Team One recently upgraded software on two Nortel BCM400 systems for the Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration in San Francisco from 3.7 to 4.0. This brings these federal agencies systems to the current Linux based software release. In addition, the FHWA system was field upgraded to be redundant by adding dual hard drives, power supplies and fans. Both systems are located in the same phone room and tied together via VOIP trunking to allow the agencies to communicate seamlessly via their independent phone systems.
Here is a picture of their systems:

Seneca Center has many sites around the San Francisco Bay Area. Their San Francisco Connections office has grown rapidly and they outgrew their Norstar CICS recently. Team One installed a new, fully redundant Nortel BCM400 to allow future growth for this location. A major advantage of this upgrade was that the end users were ale to keep their existing phone sets. This means that no new phone set investment was required and no new employee training either. The upgrade went smoothly and the end result is a larger more expandable system with no interuption to customer or employee productivity.
Here is a picture of the Norstar we removed. They plan to reuse it at another office in the future.

Here is shot of the administration interface on the new BCM400:

In mid February 2008 Team One removed a very old intercom system and upgraded an existing Nortel system to add new telephones in every classroom. In addition the existing paging speakers were reused and integrated into the telephone system paging system. This allows teachers and staff to make campus wide pages from any telephone in the school. This was important for the school to comply with new emergency standards. Team One also upgraded the Norstar voicemail and KSU to the latest software versions ensuring continued Nortel support and general system reliability.
